The journey of The River continues to captivate audiences, and we’re thrilled to share the latest updates from two incredible film festivals!

Last month, we had the privilege of attending the LA Skins Festival in Los Angeles. This premier event showcased Indigenous talent from across the globe, and we were honored to have The River as part of the lineup. Our film premiered on Wednesday night to a warm and enthusiastic reception. As I shared on Instagram, “Thanks again @skinsfest for such a magical night. The River premiered on Wednesday night and it was so well-received. Many compliments. Thanks again to the festival coordinators for putting on another great event." It was an unforgettable experience to connect with so many passionate filmmakers and supporters of Indigenous storytelling.

Meanwhile, The River also made waves at the Pocahontas Reframed Film Festival in Richmond, Virginia, where Rainbow Dickerson, the star of our film, represented us with grace and pride. Rainbow shared that there was much love and recognition from the festival’s audience, which truly means the world to us.

We’re so grateful to these festivals for celebrating the voices and stories of Indigenous filmmakers. Stay tuned for more updates as The River continues its journey!
