Nativisions Film Festival: A Memorable Experience

Last weekend, I had the privilege of attending the Nativisions Film Festival, held at the Bluewater Resort and Casino movie theater on the beautiful Colorado River Indian Reservation. It was truly an unforgettable experience to watch "The River" in a theater filled with fellow Native audience members. And WE WERE ON THE COLORADO RIVER.

The screening was met with enthusiasm, sparking plenty of questions and admiration for both the film's direction and Rainbow Dickerson's stellar performance. I was deeply moved by the warm hospitality and encourage all Native filmmakers to consider submitting their work to this festival. Now in its 20th year, Nativisions consistently hosts their event during the last week of September.
